What is the American Wine Society?

The American Wine Society is a national non-profit consumer-based organization devoted to educating people on all aspects of wine. Its members are wine novices, experts, grape growers, amateur and professional winemakers, chefs, wine appreciators, wine educators, restaurateurs, and anyone interested in learning more about wine and gastronomy.

The Lehigh Valley Chapter is one of the largest chapters of the American Wine Society, located in Northeast Pennsylvania.  The current membership is over 100 people from the Allentown - Bethlehem region and surrounding areas.  Meetings take place once or twice each month in local restaurants or in members' homes.

To join, you need to register with both the national American Wine Society (AWS) organization and a local AWS chapter.  The national organization has a variety of membership plans available, but the most popular are an "individual" membership for $49/year, and a "household" membership (for two people at the same address) for $62/year.  The Lehigh Valley chapter has one membership level. Each member pays $10/year. You must be a member (or a guest of a member) to attend all of our events.  We look forward to seeing you at one of our wine tastings, educational events, and BYOB dinner parties.
