As a wine taster do you sometimes feel you do not understand what makes a wine a rating of 14 versus a 19 on the AWS evaluation form? Do you sometimes say, “I really like this wine, but I don’t know why”?
Dean Scott (AWS Wine Judge) has put together a basic course on the components of white wines that he would like to share with AWS members and guests. We will look at white wine aromas, intensity, complexity and body, and how they are affected by the amount of sugar, acid, alcohol and tannins in a wine. We will also look into how the wine taste changes when introduced to certain foods. This is a basic education program. It is not a typical wine tasting. We will be analyzing one wine with many variations. It will be fun and educational and hopefully you will come away understanding more why you love wine!
Register and pay $20 per person at LVAWS.org by January 24, 2022.
Limited to 20 participants. This event is open to all AWS members and their guests. Classroom location will be emailed to all paid registrants before the event.
No glasses needed, and no meal included.
Cost: $20 per person
